As part of my studies at Gobelins, Paris, I worked on a
master’s thesis exploring scriptwriting for historical tours using augmented reality.
The research was based on the
Champigny Story use case, in collaboration with the company
OHRIZON and the
City Archive of Champigny-sur-Marne (France).
Through this project, I aimed to understand what motivates users to engage with historical tours enhanced by emerging technologies — especially AR — and what elements spark their curiosity and sustain their interest during the visit.
Based on these insights, I analyzed how AR, as implemented in the
Champigny Story application, addresses these needs and how we might enhance the experience further through storytelling strategies.
